You chose to become an Army officer, but your choices don't end there. As an ROTC or West Point cadet, you can chart your own career course via the Career Satisfaction Program (CSP). In exchange for an additional 3 year Active Duty Service Obligation (ADSO), the CSP provides three options to shape your Army experience. You may choose your Army basic branch or your first post of assignment. You may also opt for fully funded graduate school at one of the finest institutions of higher education in the world.

The Graduate School Option (GRADSO) portion of the CSP program continues to be suspended since YG2014 pending officer corps reshaping efforts. The Army will continue to honor all GRADSO contracts for officers from YGs 2006-2013. The BRADSO and PADSO portions of CSP remain in effect.
